Congratulations to our Club's first Obedience Grand Champion!
John Moyle and
Ob Gr Ch My Miss Millie CDX
Working Border Collie

It was a very special moment at our recent Championship Tests on Saturday 10th March 2007 when John and Millie won their 20th Challenge Certificate, and thereby gained the right to add "Grand" to their Obedience Champion title.

Well done John & Millie!  We all knew it was only a matter of time before you both relaxed enough to "get it all together" in the ring.

Millie also shows a lot of talent for agility, so perhaps we may now see them competing in that area as well - once John learns how to find his way around an agility course!

Congratulations to our Club's first Agility Champion!
Ag Ch Zac ADX
Border Collie
Owner:  Bruce Wilson

Zac achieved his 6th challenge at the recent Selwyn Dog Training Club's Championship Event at Kirwee and, needless to say, Bruce received a very thorough drenching!

Zac is a 6 year old white and black Border Collie, bred in Southland.  He is a very fast and enthusiastic dog and Bruce has had to work really hard with him.  However, at home he is a complete couch potato (Zac not Bruce!).

Norma Wilson also deserves some credit as she handled Zac when he got his first placed challenge at CCATS last year.

Zac has achieved all his challenges and his ADX within the last 6 months.  Well done Zac, Bruce and Norma.
Congratulations to the Winning Team!

Congratulations to our Club's newest Obedience Champion!
Dean & Solo

Ob Ch Hawkwood Guns N Roses CDX
Golden Retriever

It was a memorable occasion at South Canterbury Dog Training Club's Championship Tests in Timaru on 26 August 2007 when Dean and Solo, after having already gained three second place Challenge Certificates, finally got their all important winning one, and along with it Solo's Obedience Champion title.

The Timaru grounds have always been somewhat of a lucky venue for CCOC members, and this weekend was no exception.  It takes more than luck though to make up an Obedience Champion - a lot of hard work goes into it as well - so congratulations and well done Dean & Solo!
